Vocal Coach

Judy is a skilled teacher, master class and workshop presenter, who is also well-known for presentations on vocal technique to solo singers and to choirs. Judy operates a busy private studio in addition to her University work and all students achieve well in Competitions both nationally and internationally. Judy is an accredited examiner for the New Zealand Examinations Board (NZMEB), and the Australian Muisc Examinations Board (AMEB)

She has been a vocal consultant to the internationally acclaimed New Zealand Youth Choir and Voices New Zealand. Judy has also worked with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the David Jorlett Chorale in the US, the Dan Laoghaire Choral Society in Dublin, the Pender Island Singers in Canada and the Royal Chapel Choir in Copenhagen.

Each singer had prepared one song, which they sang to the large audience. Judy then worked alongside the singer to improve the vocal technique, tone, stance, breath control and interpretation. She was supportive, encouraging and challenging — all the time making it such fun for participants and audience alike. The change in the vocal sound at the end of the session with each individual singer was amazing.

All participants left the master class feeling that they had gained some useful inspirational guidance from a very experienced and gifted teacher.
